TV motor shows - reviews of Top Gear
A brief look at the popular TV car show Top Gear.
A description of the TV show Top Gear.

Top Gear began life in 1977 as a simple magazine programme featuring an eclectic range of presenters, a couple of which went on to present the Channel 5 rival motoring show 'Fifth Gear'. During 2002 Top Gear underwent a revamp in order to be studio based whilst placing more of an emphasis on the program's unique humour and the personalities of presenters James May, Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond. A popular feature of the show is the unique tests they carry out on vehicles, such as the episode where Top Gear reviewed the Toyota Hilux. Tests ranged from crashing the car into a tree to slamming a wrecking ball into it. Top Gear is the perfect programme true motoring enthusiast.
